This first meeting of the year will be a fun gathering to share information about plans for this year, give away door prizes, and enjoy some snacks and good conversation among us. The Board of Directors will be presenting an updated Bylaws document with a discussion to explain the reason for the changes, and answer any question members may have. A copy of the Bylaws is available at the links below.
Join your fellow RC enthusiast for a day of flying, and do a little thrift shopping between flights! Reserve a pit table to display your items for sale, or back up and make a storefront out of your trunk. Non club members are welcome to participate. The club has been gifted a number of items over the year that will be up for sale at huge discounts, with all proceeds going to the club's general fund.
This summer's club picnic should prove to be a great time with RC flying contests for pilots of all skill levels, prizes to give away, and food available for purchase to keep our tummies happy! This event is for all members and their invited family & friends. Practice up and enter the Stunt Challenge, show off on some Speed Flybys, and play along with the fan favorite Limbo Contest! (Guests with AMA cards are welcome to fly)
A regional contest being hosted by FAWs to include participants from Oregon, Washington, Idaho and British Columbia. Pilots compete by flying miniature replica of a full scale aircraft in realistic fashion through a series of maneuvers to create the illusion you are viewing a real aircraft. FLY-A-WAYs RC Club has been around a lot longer than many of us. Take a few minutes and learn about how it all started, and how we got to where we are now.
FAWs RC Club has been approved as a FRIA location. Pilots ARE NOT REQUIRED to have FAA Remote ID modules in their RC aircraft or transmit digital location data while flying.
