Yes.  An annual membership is required to fly at our field.  Guests of members may fly up to three times before being required to purchase a membership.

Fly-A-Ways is a local chapter of the national club Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). All members of our club are required to have a current AMA membership as well. This is in accordance with keeping our liability insurance in compliance. A link to the AMA is on the Hanger & Links page.

Our club members use all types and sizes of Radio Controlled Aircraft to include Fomies, ARFs, & Kits.  We enjoy flying fixed wing aircraft, helicopters, drones, and gliders.  Both gas and electric power is utilized. Turbine engines are not allowed.

Although our club does not have a formal training program or offer classes, there are many pilots that enjoy mentoring and training those that are starting out or wish to hone thier skills.  Please use the contact form above and we'll connect you with someone as available.

Yes, spectators are always welcome as our pilots love an audience!  We are a private club and there are safety rules posted at the field that must be adhered to, but feel free to stop by and watch. Please note: Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and dogs are not allowed on the property at any time.
